Paid Time Off Accrual Module

• Provides various accrual methods and types
• Ability to use the income factor from the income control when totaling worked hours, which is used in the final calculation of PTO accruals for pay period.
• Verification of available PTO accrual balance, determines if employee is eligible for additional accrual during the current pay period and adjusts the PTO time record if employee has insufficient PTO balance.
• Ability to run accrual calculation automatically with each cycle’s Post & Print.
• Creates and posts general ledger transactions for PTO accruals by worked levels or home levels.
• Creates and posts the appropriate G/L expense and liability for: PTO Taken hours, salary changes, manual changes and hours forfeited at termination, if not paid within a specified number of days.
• Creates an audit trail of all accrual transactions that affect an employee’s accrual balance.
• Provides an on-line inquiry of employee’s detail accrual history
• Provides an on-demand historical printout of all transactions affecting the employee’s accruals.
• Performs proration of PTO accrual at month end for Method C or N.
• Performs automatic rollover of employee’s PTO hours at year-end.
• Provides ability to set up carry over limitations, if needed, for each accrual.

At year end rollover process will check for carry over limitations.

The Island Software PTO Accrual Module integrates with your payroll system.   The use of soft coded controls provides the user with maximum system flexibility and allows company policy changes to be easily incorporated into the Payroll process.   Custom accrual codes can be created at an additional cost.
