This module was designed for employers that utilize pay by job in their payroll processing. Your current payroll job authorization function requires the authorization of each individual job to each employee. In an environment where a large number of employees are paid by job and a diverse number of jobs can be performed by each employee, the manual authorization of individual jobs can be time consuming and tedious.

This module has an added feature for employers that utilize matrices tables for maintaining job pay rates. When a new contractual year commences, the use of a menu option easily updates the column value for the affected job controls. This is especially useful when union contracts expire and new job pay rates become effective and need to be mass changed before the next pay cycle.

Split Pay Cycle

What happens when a new union contract commences during the middle of a pay cycle? This module provides you with the ability to split the pay cycle. Menu option is executed that updates a ‘pay rate override’ for affected employees with the old job rate for the first portion of the pay cycle. Pay records for latter part of the pay cycle will be paid at the new pay rate found on the job controls.

Minimal Set Up Required

System requires minimal set up during the initial installation and maintenance only when new jobs are created.
