The interfacing of daily time data from time entry systems and/or direct entry into the Infinium Ô  Time and Attendance file [PYPWK] is a common practice among payroll employers.

The Infinium Ô  payroll application provides functions for entry of 2^nd check time data and additional 2^nd check features. However, the creation and entry of second check data through the available functions, ‘Enter Timesheet Data’ and ‘Update Checks’ are both subsequent functions to the ‘Update Daily Time Data’.

Payroll departments that utilize the ‘Update Daily Time Data’ in Time and Attendance module require the ability to enter, process and pay certain incomes utilizing the 2^nd check features provided by the payroll system. One of the important 2^nd check features is the ability to suppress specific deductions on 2^nd checks. This is especially useful when employees are paid for vacation buyouts where normal deductions need to be suppressed.
